And yet people laugh at the possibility of. Griffiths. Arnot. Helbig. Elton. Darrou etc being serviceable at a decent football club . Ala. Swans/hawthorn/port etc.

He's a massive dud

I would prefer him over hampson.

(And a 2nd rounder would of been nice)

Good luck to him. Thrown a lifeline and making the most of it. Would have preferred him playing like this at RFC and keeping our 2nd round pick.

They're both stuffing pathetic. We just paid the price of a second rounder for a sideways move.

But Mitch Morton kicked 2 goals in a grand final. Wasn't BOG but wasn't a complete passenger.

Never said he was Lam but he was no good as a player over his career.  Right player, right time and played well in the game that mattered.  Still didn't stop him being flicked from the senior side as soon as next season started.  Watch what happens to Derrickx when the Swans sort their ruck issues out.  But as I said, bloody good luck to him if he jags a premiership medallion.

You're right smokey regarding derickz being a stop gap until they sort out their ruck issues - something we could've done instead of wasting a 2nd rounder  :help

so where does it leave us in regards ruckmen capable of holding down the 1st ruck role.
at the start of next season

stephenson 32yo  battler.  really has to be  cut.  his spot should go to a  junior rookie.
maric 29yo decent player but age and niggles are starting to catch up. just my opinion but we need to draft a youngh crash bash ruckman in preparation for ivans demise.
hampson 27 yo battler.  his 7 yr performance  history at carlton unfortunately is very accurate and we have a need to look elsewhere imo.

in short the long term outlook is dire. short term theres ivan and thats it. we must address this situation by taking two ruckmen one junior  18 - 21 one development 22- 24  if possible.

it is madness waiting until maric retires before we do a thing.
