Did anyone hear Nathan Thompson on SEN last night? He said we didn't have the speed to trouble Hawthorn unlike other sides who have  ???. Of all our deficiencies leg speed isn't one of them I would've thought.
Not exactly Hawthorn's strength either

You'd expect Lids to be heavily tagged on Saturday night. I wonder if Dimma will have Lids go head-to-head with Sam Mitchell who like Goddard has cut us up in the midfield in the past.

Hardwick hunts for Hawks
8/4/2011 1:15 PM
Luke Buttigieg
Sportal

...

Hardwick believes his players can challenge the Hawks much like they did when they only lost to them by three points in Round 8 last year.

"It's another great challenge, we're playing another quality side in Hawthorn," he added ahead of training at Punt Road on Friday.

"We matched up pretty well against them last year so I think it will be a really tight contest and a great challenge for our young blokes."

"There's probably certain sides that you match up reasonably well against and we feel that we do against these guys."

"We've just got to subdue their midfield (and) control the twin towers up front."

"We think we're a dead-set chance this week which is a good result."

Great, now the players need to carry this positivity into the game..
DIMMA - You will be held ACCOUNTABLE...

“We are really excited about what we have brought in. We have got great depth of players that can take us where we need to go. We are just putting some cream on the top at the moment,” he said.

I hope we play tough, hard footy with fight & fight to win resonating with every kick, mark, hardball get, etc.
This game last year was the beginning of our run of wins.
I hope we can continue to show the hardness, hunger and ruthlessness
of tigers of old.
Cmon tigers let's beat this gay, brown & gold, weepoo, worst song, worst colors, homosexual team and show the world we are on the way back as the powerhouse of the AFL.

Just mentioned on 3AW Sam Mitchell is a late withdrawal.

And major accident on the Eastern inbound (avoid it)

“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.
