Pick 37 and Connors/Nason is too much for Maric.

When you say a player and pick 37 for him it sounds like we are paying overs. But Nason is probably(IMO should) going to be delisted so it doesn't mean anything if his apart of the trade.

Maric deal hits roadblock

IVAN Maric is no certainty to head to Richmond despite being linked to the club for months.

The Tigers have been in discussions with Adelaide about trading for the experienced ruckman but Crows list manager David Noble said there was no guarantee he would find his way to Punt Road.

"There may be a late player (in negotiations for Maric) but he has made a decision that that is where his best opportunity lies," Noble said on Monday.

"From our side of things, we've got to make sure we get the best deal for our footy club. If that allows those players to get to the clubs of their choice that is fine but if we have to get back to those players to say they need to consider another option well that is what we have to do."

^agreed...if we are giving up 37 plus someone we are not keen on keeping then we don't really lose out...Adel first round request on the other hand is most amusing...

Way too much.  We should play hard hard ball - we hold all the aces.

We should show some balls and go back to the table with a triple digit pick.

Tell them to jam it!!

If we are giving a player(Nason or Connors) i know we want them gone anyway but i say give them a 3rd rounder and thats it.

We will land him in the PSD most likely anyway. How many players who have a nominated club dont end up there. We hold the upper hand and if it doesnt come off then stiff, get someone else.

Crows list manager David Noble said only preliminary negotiations had been conducted: "We don't expect anything to happen until the next 24-48 hours."

And he said the players might have to go elsewhere, if rivals offered better deals.

“We are really excited about what we have brought in. We have got great depth of players that can take us where we need to go. We are just putting some cream on the top at the moment,” he said.

I know the Tigers plan
They will pick him up, do a pre season in Tassie and dip him in the Pure Waters of Tasmania , as they do in the Boags Draft ad.
Then he will turn into a powerfull ruckman ::) ::)
