My best today were:

3. Grigg
2. Tuck
1. Conca

and Kudos to Foley and our young, courageous backline :bow

BTW I just saw lids stats and they weren't nearly as bad as I first thought, in fact they were pretty good.

i dont normally go for this balme the umps crap but we were butt raped today, until that ump went off with an ankle injury.

tucky in particular seems to be getting pinned for anything remotely looking like a free while needing it to be blindingly obvious before the umps even consider giving him a free

Agreed. Princess Watts was the one in particular who seemed to get given frees for nothing. I guess when you're as crap as he is you need all the help you can get.

Back on topic, it was nice to finally see us belt another club! Given how bad Melbourne have been, I think it shows a sign of progress on our part that we actually went out and won comfortably today. In the past few years these are the sort of games that we've screwed up or escaped with a lucky win.
Push up!

Newman has never been great.
Him as captain is comical and he would probably have reservations about it himself,as i have never heard him ever speak with conviction or leadership.
More like he's in a job he aint qualified for.
Nothing against him, more the club for making the decision

Yeah this was a danger game and it started off to script...  Just rapt we turned it into the the new script in the second half.  Pretty stoked with the way the backs went about it today.

We lost to two top 6 sides and beat a bottom 6 side, Id say thats where we expected to be. Good win, expected but still good.  Still a chance for top 8 I would say, in fact I  think we will make it even if we are 1-4 after 5 rounds. The only thing that worrys me is the lack of form of Vickery and to a lesser extent Jack. The bottom tier player are a problem (Jackson and Edwards) but that was always going to be the case. We are were we expected to be so all the doomsayers and the "why give hardwick a extention" can go hide for a week. They will be back, but I expect them to go away for the back half of the year.

true Fluffy

I was more relieved we won than anything else. Tuck, Grigg, Cotch and Foley great games. Loved the big mans game also, gives so much more than Graham ever did.

For me the problems haven't gone away. Bottom few are terrible and Jack and Vickers are really out of form.

For the life of me i dont know how Dimma lets Jack get away with jumping like a lunatic and giving away f50 free kicks.

just watched the replay, the commentary and coverage was superbad, wow. Malthouse??? was this a melbourne love in? he was angling from melbournes pov all game and geez he was very harsh on morris i felt, very blunt assessment all day "hes a niggler" "dont know if richmond need someone like him down back" "does he have the decision making to make it at this level" it was his 3rd game you stuffwit.

What is it with commentators these days? its almost like they have a pregame angle and they stick with it all day ala the 2 monkeys last week in darcy and BT knocking rance and today malthouse angling for melbourne positives and having a crack at morris all day.

BTW i thought Morris was very solid. Watching the replay I liked the way maric worked his way into the game, thought he was getting beaten comprehensively early but hes a warrior

Great point TM, Rance is in line for AA honors if he keeps up this form.
It's that simple Spud
"I discussed (it) with my three daughters, my wife and my 82-year-old mum, because it has really affected me … If those comments … were made about one of my daughters, it would make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I would not have liked it at all.”

got time for Morris liked his game. Unlike that fukwit Jackson he attacks the ball and player but importantly does it fairly and can get the ball too.

Stats arent everything. Half of Griggs stats arent worth anything. just my opinion.

84% efficiency says he did something with it when he got it. Thought it was his best game yet for the club, if he can learn to run a little harder the other way he could become an A grader for sure.....
