From those Adelaide assessments, he sounds like he's worth the punt if he comes free of charge.

He comes free with restricted free agency.
The club that keeps giving.

If adelaide match the offer he cannot move clubs under free agency.

Never ever recruit a player whose best game againt a side for the year is against us. History tells us they are more likely to be duds eg Neeld and Kingsley come to mind straight away. Was watching the reply of Essendon game last night Harley said that Nahas led the competition in forward half tackles. Nahas on his day is a good player he just needs to find better consistency

Tigers target Chris Knights (Age)

Tigers target Knights

RICHMOND is strongly favoured to become the club of choice for Adelaide's free-agent forward, Chris Knights, who can walk to Punt Road without restriction.

The Tigers have targeted Knights as a recruit who can bolster their attack/midfield and who seems certain to leave the Crows at season's end. Once ensconced in the Adelaide line-up and considered a promising player, Knights has struggled for senior games, playing just five times at AFL level in 2012.

Melbourne is another club believed to have registered an interest in Knights, a Victorian originally from Vermont. The Tigers, however, have made the running and, in the radical new world of free agency, have only to persuade Knights to sign a contract to have him in yellow and black next year.

Knights, who turns 26 in grand final week, qualifies as an unrestricted free agent - who can go to whichever club he wishes, without his club having the right to match the offer - because he is outside the Crows' top 25 per cent in salaries this year. He is in his eighth season, the minimum requirement for a free agent. He has played 96 games for the Crows since his debut, but fell out of Brenton Sanderson's side this year and was forced to play regularly in the SANFL.

The Tigers are also pursuing tall defender Troy Chaplin from Port Adelaide as a restricted free agent. Port can match the Richmond offer for Chaplin and retain him, though he could also seek a trade or enter the draft.

Imagine how good our list old be if we targeted clubs outside of Adelaide :rollin
It's that simple Spud
"I discussed (it) with my three daughters, my wife and my 82-year-old mum, because it has really affected me … If those comments … were made about one of my daughters, it would make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I would not have liked it at all.”

The jury is out for me, knights played some brilliant games early in his career and looked to be a certain gun. He was then struck down with injury and has been nothing more than an unbrushed Kennebec for the past 3 seasons. The only positive is he has played most of he season between the SANFL and the Crows, if we get him for quids he could certainly become a handy depth player with a chance of re finding his for of earlyer years. He is defiantly an upgrade on half a dozen currently on our list.

This is the main point. He is coming via free agency, he isnt costing anything. Means we can delist a player of lesser quality and out list improves, whether he is in the best 22 or not, that seems like a no brainer.
