You think if he was at Punt Rd he would be any better

NO

they have something all clubs strive for

Good on him could've cried like a biatch playing reserves but instead worked hard and he has a medal around his neck

Whoever said he was gifted that medal are kidding themselves

He played well week in week out in the reserves and deserved his spot

He's poo

Glad we got rid of him. Complete knob.

That's the difference between a club that has a high standard and hates mediocrity.
The leadership group letting him know they didn't trust him. Set a very high standard at Sydney.
Too many player gifted games at tigerland that arent up to standard.
A tough club culture can get the absolute best out of even the most ordinary of characters. That's why they have so many discarded players that perform week in week out because of their high standards. And it doesn't matter who you are the club gives you a club induction coarse that lays out the standards so there is no excuse.
Everyone that walks in knows what's at stake knows the principles on what the club is built and knows what is expected.
That's why Mitch Morton, picked up for his natural talent, had to wait for a whole year and a lucky break to make it into this well drilled organization.
Richmond MUST learn from this example too.
The club that keeps giving.

RFC couldn't get the best out of Mitch and Sydney couldn't either for most of the year until McGlynn was injured.
Nice cameo but he'll revert to type soon enough. Right place right time.

Played ok. As has been stated, 6 kicks 5 handballs and 2 goals is hardly earth shattering.  Morton is an opportunist.  He certainly took his opportunity yesterday.

Mitch Morton as at Sep 2012 would get a game ahead of all our non-key fwds. Further, after Jack he would be second named in the fwd line and that's a fact

I thought he had talent, but was gettin shunted round, problem was his erratic form right?  He was called up for 2 games at Sydney then dropped again, then he was lucky for the injuries, simple as that.

NO idea
He killed it all year and according to interviews "bought in" half way through the year

Why is Jackson still getting a game and is still in the leadership group?

That's a joke and something that wouldnt happen at the elite clubs in the afl

And perhaps Mitch didn't try hard enough to get the best out Mitch either.

Not disputing that, their culture is one that all clubs should aspire too

But there is one thing that the Swans don't face like teams in Melb and other traditional Aussie rules states and that's the "fish bowl" media existence.

Sydney don't get the coverage in the papers up there like we have down here. I reckon that is an added bonus for them when they bring in players
