Vlastuin "honoured" to play on Anzac Day EveBy SEN
19 April 2018Richmond defender Nick Vlastuin said he’s honoured to be a part of the Anzac Day Eve game this year after watching from the stands in 2017.
The 23-year-old will play his 100th game on Tuesday night and can’t wait to be out there.
“Last year I actually missed this game so I was sitting in the crowd with a couple of mates and before the game when they get all the lights and that you get goosebumps and just want to be out there,” Vlastuin told SEN Breakfast.
“It’s an honour to be playing Anzac Eve.”
Vlastuin said the group of defenders at Richmond like to go away in the pre-season to work on their team bonding.
“We go on a backs camp, just a night in pre-season every year, try and build that bond because it is a team within a team and now we’ve been playing pretty solid footy together for probably three or four years now with the same sort of back six," Vlastuin said.
“We all know each other’s games and then we can build off that I suppose so it does make a huge difference."
