I thought his ruck work was very good. Needs to get more of the footy though. I think he will be ok.

So glad we missed a chance at grabbing Gartlett for this usesless great lump.

Even Melbourne's 18 y.o. rookie pick from Wagga, Max King looked better.

Here here

Every good team has great little men except us

He would've been a perfect recruit with not much to give up

Instead. Enter Angus Graham
Currently a member of the Roupies, and employed by the great man Roup.

Players this hack cost us a chance at tonight:

Dayle Gartlett
George Hewett
Cameron Giles
Jay Kennedy-Harris
Jake Kolodjashnij
Riley Knight

Yep.....so glad we got Angus Graham Mk.II instead of any of them....

What was your proposition to reinforce the ruck  stocks?

Were you happy with the future on only maric / orren?
if orren is only marginally worse than hampson i dont see the need to get hampson.
i came up with a scenario this yr and everyone poo pooed it.
what i dont get in all of this is we failed to rookie at the very least a junior ruckman. as you say with only ivan and orren and  with hampson a risk of sorts wheres the long term planning.

Might be worse as the rumour going around is that Ivan has done his navicular….
If that is true, that's it for him.

I pray that this isn't true………..
OER. Calling it as it is since 2004.

It for him? Navicular shouldn't be ending a career

Why Griffiths of course!

Funny comparing Hampson's game to Kennedy-Harris' the other night. One game and I'll back Hampson more than Kennedy-Harris but still funny

With Big Ivan looking like he's going to have to go under the knife, it means Hampson will need to take over the No.1 ruck role at least for the beginning of the season. We are going to need more efforts like today where Hampson was the dominant ruckman on the ground with 26 hitouts giving our mids first use of the footy along with 3 centre clearances of his own.

Hampson has suddenly become very important and will be our number one ruckman for at least the first part of the year. Just as important though will be Griffiths. He needs to take this opportunity with both hands and compete particularly well in the ruck. Will the Big O get elevated and step into Griffiths role if he underperforms? Maric's absence certainly leaves a hole.

I have faith Hampson will actually work well as a ruck and will probably relish the responsibility.

Thought Hampson was impressive yesterday

Really liked his game and his round the ground play

Would like him to take a few more marks though but with Maric likely to missing come round 1 of the season proper he showed enough yesterday to say we wont as badly off as we would have been in previous years if we lost Ivan

Disagree - still looks utterly useless around the ground to me.
