Highlights of Lloyd's debut ...

VIDEO: http://www.richmondfc.com.au/video/2014-04-11/round-4-lloyds-debut

Lloyd lights up the MCG
No, not that Lloyd. Sam Lloyd's excellent debut came in trying circumstances at the MCG on Friday night. At stages, the first-gamer looked like Richmond's only dangerous option in attack. The 24-year-old kicked three goals and gathered 22 possessions in an impressive display. His marking prowess belied someone of his 180cm stature and his finishing was spot on, the Deniliquin/Frankston Bombers product nailing all three of his opportunities in front of goal. The Tigers have found one in Lloyd, who they secured with pick No. 66 in last year's NAB AFL Draft.

He'll be just another skata flanker in a few weeks.
The RFC deprogramming process is in full swing.

I just said this in another thread about Batch. Great first year then the RFC anti-development truck comes in. Martin first 2 years. The list goes on.

It's called first game euphoria.
Then 2nd game potential.
Third game ability.
Fourth game inexperience.
Then fifth game heartbreak the moment you realise this kids ability as a decent footballer is gone forever.

The simple thing to delay the onset of tigeritis is to do the opposite of what the coach says and what the majority of other players are doing. Very contagious ailment and one which heralds the onset of footy dementia also another tigeritis sub category where all principles of basic football skills are forgotten and a player masquerades on the ground as slow drunk overweight past it over the hill former bush footy star.

Cotch hasn't played a decent  standout minus dinky kick malakia game since round 22 2012.

How did he go chasing down his opponent when they had the ball?  I see from the stats that he had 5 tackles.  I think it was Fasolo who was picking him up?  Fasolo had 10 uncontested possessions.

Maybe Sam needs to spend some time in the backline to improve his defensive skills?  :angel

Hope he doesn't mimic Relton's diet or all the weight he lost in the preseason would be wasted. :pray
