ummm, without the millions of dollars that came our way via government grants to fund the new facilities under the auspicies of the Australian Institute for Indigenous Learning and Skills Development we would never have evolved from the Punt Rd ruins that have only recently made way, be grateful, VERY grateful :shh

are we getting a naming sponsor? whoever gets that sponsorshipd deal will get enormous exposure on Punt Road and Id assume we'd get a very decent 6 figure annual deal.

This is gonna help the Richmond football club HOW?
By creating an environment around the club that has a clear focus on DEVELOPMENT. Hopefully this facility will draw in to Punt Road some of the best PROFESSIONALS in training and skills development.

One of the biggest problems with our football list is the lack of development and asking what benefit there is to establishing a centre for training and skills development within the club simply baffles me.

BTW When world class sporting events have been scheduled at the MCG in the past one of my dreams was to establish a training base at Punt Road to learn from the best in other codes. When the cricket world cup and possibly the soccer world cup are played at the MCG I hope the club leverages it's prime location to host another elite sporting team. Just think for a second, would our coaches and off-field staff  (medical, finess, physio, stats) learn anything from hanging around and watching the German soccer team team or the South African cricket team training? I continue to read stories about officials and coaches from AFL clubs going overseas to visit sporting teams to learn how to do things better and here we have the prime location to bring the best in the world in to our backyard.
