Send Grimes or Astbury to Pies for overs. They have no defenders

Give them Batch, from memory they were keen on him in his draft year

Wouldn't get a tin of sardines for that list clogger. Maybe an expired tin.

QUESTION FROM BRENDAN: If Richmond are into Marley Williams, and Collingwood now need defenders - Any word / thoughts on a Jake Batchelor for Marley Williams swap?

A. The Pies need key defenders. I don’t think Batchelor is on their radar.

He's never going to be on their radar.  They're not stuffing stupid.  The only club that would have him on their radar is Richmond and we did that when Luke Parker should have been on the radar!

Melbourne have landed star Hawthorn midfielder Jordan Lewis, with the two clubs only having to hash out the details of the trade.

Club sources have confirmed that Melbourne have signed Lewis on a three-year deal.

Bombers preparing for a crack at o'meara

So let me understand this

Hawks lose 2017 first round plus 2- 2017 second rounders to get pick 10 which they want to give to GC. That's a big price

Out 2 club legends

Let's hope this is there Richmond moment from the 80's

If Mitchell and Lewis had both retired would anyone have batted an eyelid.
Clearly they think a g/f is out of the question and they are making hard calls and rebuilding. they clearly have targeted young players who will get them up the ladder in time. They at least have a plan  . Hmm hard calls something we never do  wish we were more like them.

Top 2 in their B&F.
Lewis from same draft as Lids,  traded for pick 48, sounder body.
If we traded Lids for pick 48, you'd soil your pantaloons
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Look, in a funny kind of way maybe I've been too harsh on the club. Perhaps I should just wait till COB Friday to see what we've done  :shh

that trade hawks completed with the Saints. wow
first round 2017 plus 23 and 36 for pick 10.

effectively 23 and 36 for nothing.

i hope balme pulls his finger out and trades in some picks.
