Except one should get us a relatively good compo pick (and this will almost certainly be our very last chance to do so with them)whereas the other one won't..... :shh

Lol just another example of those in charge having drank too much bath water.

Have to worry about those in charge of footy.

The only "logical" explanation -and I use the term very loosely- I can think of is that we're just playing ducks & drakes and trying to get WC to up their offer so we'll get better compo....or worse and not logical given our current position,we 're targeting a free agent ourselves so have decided to try and keep him as we'll forfeit the compo anyway....but if it's just because we think he's awesome and invaluable...well then.... :propeller

If Baker is going to WCE, part of the deal should be that they ensure the Graham compo is band 3 (2nd round).

4 year contract means games and money wasted.

Kmac surely only has 1-2 years at his modest level.

Thats bull shiiitee and you know it.

Please don't presume to think what I "know".

I offered an opinion as to why I think they've done it.

Understand your point

As I just posted in reply to Claw, it was my opinion as to why they've done it.

Time will tell what the outcome ends being

Why even bother to get them to up their offer.
Given 500k is the average wage  tell them in his first year you blokes front end his contract to 800k and we will pay 300k of it in year one.
That should get band 3 along with the length of contract. They pay less in the following seasons and we get pick 22. Thats a good bit of business right there and they owe us one down the track.

Potential to have picks 20,21,22, and 23.

I very much doubt that you can contribute salary to a player who leaves via free agency.

The reason it’s allowed when a player is traded is because they are still under contract to the club and are ‘owed’ the remaining sum of it unless the player waives it.

Surely there's a loop hole there somewhere. If we send someone down there in blue and white hoops they may think we are geelong and bend over backwards.

I think his time at the tigers is up but listening to the jake waterman episode of dyl and friends it caught me by surprise that waterman really rated Graham. He said he’s one of the best people you want hitting you up inside 50.

Either way, he will always be a premiership hero to me and hope he finds some form wherever he lands in 2025

I’m assuming most of us here haven’t played with the people we discuss here
But that doesn’t stop us from having an opinion or passing judgement
