There is only one uncontracted player I would go 'out on a limb' for and that is Josh Kelly from GWS. In fact the tigers should be focused on him right now. A midfield of Dusty, Cotch, Kelly and Prestia would beat anyone. As for the CHF we only need a slight upgrade on Elton to be set, so either look around the minor leagues or for those players being shunted out of good AFL sides for a bargain. We must not over reach for Schache imo. One name I'd like to put up is Tippet (Swans). Players can sometimes improve at their third club and Sydney is screaming out for salary cap relief.

Yeah they were talking about Tippet on SEN this morning. Apparently they'd let him go and foot 25% of the bill (cap wise). He only has one more year left. Would have a look if it wasn't for much. Bring in Schache and let him play on the 3rd defender while learning from Jack. I'd be happy with that.

Tippet would also accept a pay cut imo as he is on the wrong side of 30 and gets a chance to have the 'Richmond Experience'. Offer him 500k and Sydney a third rounder.

Rumour is Miles is going to sydney.. maybe something can be worked out there.

What happens after Tippett though?

For that matter we need to start working on a succession plan for Reiwoldt and Rance, desperately need a couple of genuine big young blokes in to develop over the next few seasons. Need to do that now so there is a crossover of several seasons otherwise they wont get to learn on field from 2 of the best and we wont get a chance at competing for a flag. I hope our list managers have already thought about this and are are doing everything they can to bring in several KP prospects not just 1 in Schache.

Thats the reason why Im such a big advocate of going out and landing Reid and Trengove (at the very least 1 of them in free agency). We are light on in that department, if we can stock up on 2 that will instantaneously be best 22, that will be massive for us and give new draftees more time and less pressure to develop

Tippet's a hack.

In the least offensive way possible, Tippet moves and looks like a woman. Is a potato to boot too.

The club should just go and get Jake Lever and pay him what he will be worth in a couple of years, and that's heaps. Give them Edwards and one of our first rounders.
KPD for the next 10 years.

We must keep the other first round draft pick and draft a KPF.

Then get Reid as a free agent to play forward and help Jack.

Wipe clean the list of Batchelor, Maric, Hunt, Townsend, Hampson, Morris, Griffiths, Houli and Elton
Trade out, Edwards, Conca and Miles for picks 3rd round or earlier and draft more ruckman and KPP.

According to some site experts Hampson is better than Tippett

Of course he is, especially while he's injured and isn't playing

Tippet probably plays less games then Griffiths and that tells yah something... Tippet has been average in a good side for years and he is ont he same page as a vickery so no thanks...
As someone said Miles future is up in the air know and he would have known that when preista come on board sydeny could use him small ground hed love that and maybe we can work on reid in a trade and swap draft picks..

lets face it there has to be a heap of people better then Elton hampson out there...
the 2nd tall also needs to be able toplay ruck and help nank out

If Miles is actually off to Sydney then we should package him up as part of a deal for Zak Jones... :shh

Here's the full list of this year's free agents:

http://www.afl.com.au/news/2017-06-02/whos-on-the-move-every-free-agent-analysed

Jackson Trengove (Port Adelaide):
The versatile tall has increasingly played in attack this year when he hasn't been pinch-hitting in the ruck. Has attracted interest, especially in his home state, Victoria, but is already well paid at Port Adelaide, which has the right to match any rival offers given the 26-year-old's restricted status.

Sam Reid (Sydney):
The most sought-after tall in this year's free agency group, Reid has attracted feverish interest in his home state, Victoria, with Richmond and Collingwood believed to be leading the chase. Expected to attract rival offers of up to $800,000 a season, but Reid said in April he hoped to re-sign with the Swans. Sydney will also have the right to match any opposition offers given Reid's restricted status, although its efforts to re-sign the 25-year-old could be compromised by its tight salary cap and the rising market value of out-of-contract Swans defender Zak Jones.
