Tom Browne on Talking Footy just before:

* Another club approached Ralph Carr recently and offered $900-$1m for Dusty. They were told $1.2-1.3m would get the business done.

* Dusty is motivated by money and his dad's still upset about Richmond low balling Dusty last time.

* Essendon & Sydney out. No longer interested.

* North lead the race.

* Tigers will have to pay him more than a million p.a. if they want to try and keep Dusty.

Watson claimed he spoke to Ralph Carr earlier in the year and he was adamant then that no decision on Dusty's future would be made until the end of the season. BT replied that many players and their managers say this and they showed a graph of 10 star players since 2010 who stated the same thing and then left their club. Watson said this was different as Carr told him he's been instructed by Dusty to delay any decision until the end of the season. BT said he has no idea where Dusty is going or staying but Dusty would now be certain in his mind about where he wants to be in 2018.

Carey added that Dusty leaving Richmond would be the biggest mistake he could make for his footy career.

More holes in Tom Brownes report than Swiss cheese.
All the gossip queens haven't a clue what's going on so it's about trying to join dots together.
People need to revisit the Dane Swan interview.

Wasn't Dustys last contract done with the minimum of fuss .
It was the time before which became a fiasco.

Did Richmond lowball or did Dusty's manager get called out on a bluff and stuff the deal up for his client.

To hold Richmond accountable for that fiasco would be a morons grudge....

“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Correct

Did Richmond lowball or did Dusty's manager get called out on a bluff and stuff the deal up for his client.
