Geelong are gathering evidence to back up their argument to play more than nine home games at GMHBA Stadium in the future.

The Cats have requested to play 11 home games at GMHBA Stadium in the past two years but are happy with the current situation that sees them play nine home games in Geelong and two big-drawing home games at the MCG.

Cook questioned whether the AFL applied the best fit policy in a consistent manner.

"We thought that would be a compromise, and they refused to accept this recommendation and stuck to their 'best fit' policy. I’m not so sure if the 'best fit' policy is a national one – if the 'best fit' policy is the same in NSW when GWS play, or in Brisbane? So we’ve got a fair amount of work to go in that area," Cook said.

The Giants have played all their home finals at Spotless Stadium while Sydney plays all their home finals at the SCG, while the Cats have only played one home final at GMHBA Stadium, playing Richmond in the 2018 qualifying final and Collingwood in the 2019 qualifying final at the MCG despite finishing above them. They lost both games.

Ive read some weired poo over the years and Im against clubs taking legal action for poo written on forums but I must say if I was at Richmond this morning reading that shir I would be calling the club lawyers and launching defamation proceedings against this poster. This posters slanders goes against everyone one of our coaches, players and administrators. It is slander of the highest order and for the first time ever i actually think our club needs to
Protect itself its players coaches and administrators from this buffoon and his lying slanderous defamations. He needs to be held to account for what his written on the forums.
