when are richmond supporters gonna realise that no one outside of their own fanbase likes richmond? i guarantee at least 99% of afl fans (bar richmond supporters) have them in their top 3 most disliked teams

@AFL Rookie System is a farce - just allowing rich clubs to supplementary pay players off the senior list - Ben Miller promoted off it this week but Sydney Stack, Marlion Pickett, Jake Aarts and Mabior Chol are still on @Richmond_FC  Rookie List...it abuses the system

How are we able to supp their payments? It's all in the TPP isn't it?

Eagles supporters:

I ask because the record shows that the Gabba is basically your home away from home, so it‘s blatantly rubbish to say that the ground and travel doesn’t factor in at all. Would Richmond have won the GF against us in Perth? What about against Geelong at Simonds Stadium? Arguably your greatest win this year was against Port at Adelaide Oval, but, considering they’re the biggest chokers of all time, I found that result hardly surprising.

Richmond can’t do squat away from the MCG and they know it. If they had met anyone other than Geelong in the GF this year then I reckon a few of their older boys would be looking at the Rance retirement option.

So many stupid takes here.

1. We won 3 flags in 4 years. Carlton won 3 in 7 years. So why are they shortening the time period to it took them to win 3 flags to the time between their first and last but for us they are for some reason extending it all the way back to 1980  :huh also it’s been 25 years since their last flag and they won that by cheating the salary cap. I really don’t get their angle here.

2. West Coast would need to qualify for a grand final before we can worry about playing them over there. Pretty sure the pies beat them over there even while being locked in a hotel for the week leading up. Pies then smashed by the cats who we beat in the granny.......

3. Does he mean how in last years finals run we beat Brisbane in Brisbane or how this year we beat the saints at a neutral venue in the Gold Coast then beat the top team all season at their home ground in Adelaide before beating the cats at a beautiful venue in Brisbane  :huh

Another Eagles supporter:

If Richmond ever got a fixture befitting a reigning premier then they wouldn't even make the top 4, instead they get gifted a draw that mid-placed teams get.

You can Richmond out of ninth but the AFL fixturing people seem to still think Premiershipmond is still a thing...
Quote from: bzparkes
Well the fact that you got the 7th hardest draw out of any team before COVID heat.

Weak as pee and puts the 'Fix' in fixturing.

Obvious to everyone other than tigger fans it seems.
Quote from: bzparkes
Play us in Perth like you were supposed to and you don't make the top 4. Simple.

Port fan:
Quote from: simba_ said
this season was more fixed than ever, every game was played out like a theatrical production. taking it seriously and trying to use statistics to prove something from last year wrong is obscene.

Geez eagles supporters are an entitled bunch arnt they.....
The most even fixtured season in history and they still complain. Every team played each other once. Interstate teams got to play at their home grounds whereas vic teams didn’t do so after round 5 or whenever it was and they still complain. Add to that the grand final was played in Brisbane and 2 vic teams still made it and it’s just laughable at this point.

In 2019 Tigers interstate games should have been split up more evenly, you were a killa team of the previous 2 years. & God all mighty you should have played WC twice, the 2018 premiers, once in Perth (farkin come on!). You only barely had our measure twice at the MCG in 17 & 19, & got your pants pulled down in Perth in 18 (Dusty fend offs put to shame by Yeo).

Tigers are slick but not that great. I'll take being there to see Dom Sheeds immortal technique forever iconic best & most important goal ever over your 17 & 19 snorefests. 2020..... Meh Corona Wars lol

The best team of the previous 2 years gets to play 7 games at home before finals. Dont all vic teams play around 6 away games now? Come on mang honestly why didnt you guys play us in Perth that year? WC supporters go on about it because of the significance of that game & how important it is for eagles to finish top 2. The next week against the Hawks we were spent. I mentioned 17 because we were so disadvantaged in stock at tje time. 17 Tigers lost to a bumch of teams, MCG factpr just helped that much for a team improving with a mad legion of success starved Tigger fans lol. Regardless..... Immortal Technique Sheed Best Grand Final Goal will be remembered more than your itchy scrot grand final wins v crows & giants bish

The behavior and conduct of @Richmond_FC players is surely an increasing concern for the @AFL.

Success on-field, but things seem to be pretty shambolic off-field.

The club has brought the game into disrepute. Breaching quarantine, meeting with shady gambling figures. Penalise the 19 and 20 premierships. Give them to the opposition team...watch the tiggys get triggered

I’m struggling to answer this but why does Richmond and Carlton have some god given right to have the prime time first match of the AFL season? What makes them so special over the other 16 teams? Why isn’t it rotated? This is rubbish.

The gate is split evenly so dunno if it matters too much. And I guess no one was allowed in last year.

And they’re gonna unfurl 2 flags 😶

This is one where I will risk turning up late to not be there for the 2 flags unfurling

Richmond has beaten GWS and Adelaide to win their flags (hardly superpowers)...as well as wining this year's practice match tournament.

Brisbane and Hawthorn beat defending premiers, whilst Geelong beat elite Melbourne based teams in St.Kilda and Geelong.
