He was pushed.

Can the club appeal and get it downgraded to a fine?

The fact Lynch will get a week for a bump on TDK that resulted in no injury & Lalor missed a month with a broken Jaw & concussion & Ginbey had no case to answer shows the glaring issue with the tribunal.

They can appeal but if the push was seen as significant to the collision then he should get off

I f***ing love this club”

This round seems to be one where the MRP is dishing out strict interpretations when it comes to suspensions.

Good. They'd be stuffing mad not to.

At least get it downgraded to a fine or better yet thrown out like the garbage it is.

The Tigers argue if this was a bump it was caused by circumstances outside of Lynch's control. Their secondary argument is that this was not rough conduct.

Tom Lynch is now giving evidence. Here's hoping he gives almost as much as Sam Lalor gave us that night.

Lynch says he felt a "significant push" from Jacob Weitering which pushes him low and forward, he felt vulnerable and he turned to protect himself and brace for contact.

Andrew Woods (AFL): You chose to bump rather than contest the ball, do you accept that or reject it?

Lynch: I disagree with that, Mr. Woods.

Tovey (Tigers):
It was a reaction, it wasn’t an intent to bump.

Tigers argue if this is found to be a bump, it should be thrown out on the grounds the circumstances were out of Lynch’s control given Jacob Weitering's push.

Woods (AFL) is arguing Weitering’s push “wasn’t of any significant force” and that Lynch chose to bump rather than contest the ball.

The Tribunal is now deliberating.

So the AFL isn't disputing Lynch was pushed.

If this was a proper courtroom then Lynch gets off based on the evidence. But it's the AFL Tribunal so as a Tiger good luck with that.
