If  I remember correctly the Adelaide coaching staff said one of  the pre game tactics they discussed was to get under our skin… it worked

Tom Lynch's incident has been graded and referred directly to the AFL Tribunal. It means the league wants at least a five-match ban. @FOXFOOTY

Did Tex get reported? Hit Hugo in the back, difference is Hugo didn't flop...

Lynch sent directly to Tribunal

Tom Lynch has been sent directly to the AFL Tribunal after an incident during Sunday's match against Adelaide.

The Richmond forward has been charged with striking Adelaide's Jordon Butts in the second quarter of the Round 16 fixture. It has been graded as intentional conduct, severe impact and high contact. An early plea is not available, with Lynch to face the AFL Tribunal on Tuesday night.

Additionally, Lynch has been offered two fixed financial sanctions for separate incidents during the loss, including engaging in a melee/wrestle (second offence, $3,125) and striking (first offence, $1,500). Both can be reduced to $1,875 and $1,000, respectively, if Lynch takes an early plea.

Does he actually make forceful contact with his head ? I haven’t seen it in great detail but I thought it hit his back and slipped up?

That's actually quite bad!  Tex throws a coward punch from behind at Hugo's head & not a mention anywhere?   It wasn't severe, but it was unexpected & enough to knock Hugo's head forward ... and yet ... *crickets ...

So after all these times of determining the severity based on resulting injury they decide to use this case as the one they go just based on how it looks.

Frkn spare me.

Looked like a slap to the back of the head. Should be a free kick or fine IMO. Maybe a week if we're being harsh.

Lynch will get weeks because the reality is that he's lucky he didn't connect better. The crow idiot laughed about it on the ground and got up but ultimately Lynch took a fair dinkum swing at his head.

I'm actually OK with the league applying 'potential for harm's here, just wish they'd do it consistently.

I think it's 3 minimum, probably 4, 5 max/bit harsh. No way it's more than 5.
