Talia or Tarrant provide time for Miller and Nyuon to continue their development. They are both 1-2 years away from senior footy- 22+ game season at the highest level. We still have an extremely strong list however with Astbury hanging up the boots it does leave us a little exposed down back. This is why the club offered a further year to Asbury as they know this. Prudent play to get one of them in me thinks :shh

Agreed. Not worth overreacting about it’s just an immediate fix for a glaring issue on our list. Might even draft a key position player or two this year.

lol people crying over us taking a f/a filling a gaping hole in the list  in the short term for nothing.

Last time i looked clubs dont just throw away young kpp"s.

People crying about Miller not getting a game is crazy.  Fmd he has already been demoted from the list to a rookie spot and in a season where we were decimated down back managed just one token game in round 23. How anyone can be sure he will even make it yet alone stay on the list as he is uncontracted is beyond me.

Tarrant and Talia one of as a free agent is smart especially if they think they can still win another flag. Even if they dont think that its still smart as the cupboard is bare when it comes to big kpd on the list who are up to standard there is only Balta.

Im all for taking one of Talia or Tarrant and we target with pick 26 a kid like Rhett Bazzo in the nd. We would not even be having this discussion if there was a couple of juniors on the list who look capable of taking over from Astbury sorry but that is the reality atm.

Yes, but four games in and Tarrant breaks down or it soon becomes clear he's well past it, then what?  :huh

Not all that in favour getting Talia either...but surely it makes more sense to go for the bloke  that we won't need to trade for and is 3 years younger? :shh

What makes you think he will break down?

He's missed 2 games to injury in 2 years.

Sheesh just realised we would probably be trading for him. rather Talia if fit.
As a free agent on 1 oct he could walk to us but we always do the right thing.

Maybe CC-J and pick #? to Nm for Tarrant  and 20.

We don't have to trade for him

He is an unrestricted free agent, no trade required

With CCJ now out of the way watch Miller become a forward, played allot ip there this year in the VFL.

Maybe they did a medical with talia and had some concerns.

Otherwise would make more sense to go for a guy 2-3 years younger who has already been delisted.

What makes people think Miller will suddenly return doughnuts 4 games in? :shh

Would still cost us the Chol compo. :shh
