I'm yet to meet someone who likes cornes.
I'm not even sure if Chad does.......  :shh
There was another segment that the panel was hanging poo on Cornes about Cornes objecting to some actress getting married and he was laughing but he looked like one of those sad, awkward, try hard, nerd, no friends blokes from your office.
How he managed 300 games in a footy club environment if he truely is like how he comes across now in the media, is beyond me.

‘Ticks me off’: Star escalates Twitter war

Tyson Otto,
news.com.au
29 April 2019 7:30pm

Richmond forward Jack Riewoldt isn’t buying Channel 7 reporter Tom Browne’s explanation for his early reporting of the Tiger’s injury update last week.

The pair are yet to smoke the peace pipe after Riewoldt accused Browne of telling a fib on Anzac Day after the Seven journalist was the first to report on social media that the Tigers’ premiership star had avoided needing to have surgery after injuring his knee in Richmond’s win over Melbourne on Wednesday night.

Riewoldt suffered a posterior cruciate ligament injury in his right knee and sat out the final term of the Anzac Day eve clash — but the club didn’t confirm his 6-8 week injury until late the following day.

Browne’s ability to beat the club to the punch clearly irritated Riewoldt, who accused the reporter of guessing the result of his knee scan — which was only carried out after Browne had already tweeted that the scan had taken place.

Riewoldt clearly wasn’t impressed and savagely hit back at Browne.

Both Browne and Riewoldt were refusing to back down on their positions when they went on Melbourne radio on Monday morning.

“I don’t guess, I’ve got good sources and Jack shouldn’t question my integrity in that regard,” Browne told Triple M’s Hot Breakfast.

“He’s entitled to raise the prospect that he didn’t have a scan, but between Wednesday night and when he had that scan at 3.30pm I can tell you people had looked and spoken about his knee.

“Around town I speak to the right people”.

Riewoldt told Nova 100’s Chrissie Sam & Browny that he believes Browne was “wrong” to speculate about the nature of his injury.

“I actually saw Tom Browne at the club and I was getting into my car to go and have the scan and he’d already tweeted that I’d had the scan and seen the specialist,” Riewoldt said.

“I just wanted to call it out because it’s wrong.

“And the fact that they think they can use a source to see medical records or to find out your medical history is just one thing that ticks me off.”

The response from footy followers last week was well and truly in favour of the Richmond forward and fellow AFL stars Luke Hodge and Patrick Dangerfield also chimed in.

It was later confirmed the forward is set to miss eight weeks after it was found the PCL injury was high-grade.

Going to cost the club $10k if the appeal fails.

Riewoldt to fight fine at tribunal

Daniel Cherny
The Age
29 April 2019

Jack Riewoldt will head to the tribunal on Tuesday night in a bid to be cleared of misconduct over an incident in which he appeared to apply a "chicken wing" tackle to Melbourne's Bayley Fritsch.

Three-time Coleman medallist Riewoldt has taken the unusual though not unprecedented step of opting to contest a fine at the tribunal.

Riewoldt was fined $1500 for the incident involving Fritsch during last week's win over Melbourne in which the Tiger grabbed Fritsch's wrist and pulled the Demon's arm behind his back in a "chicken wing" manner.

Riewoldt did, however, let go before doing any serious damage to Fritsch.

The Richmond spearhead could have accepted a $1000 early guilty plea but will instead head to the tribunal.

In any case, Riewoldt is set to miss about six to eight weeks with a PCL injury sustained in the same game.

Jack's Tribunal bid fails

Riley Beveridge,
AFL Media
Apr 30, 2019

RICHMOND spearhead Jack Riewoldt has been unsuccessful in overturning a misconduct fine following a tackle on Melbourne's Bayley Fritsch last week.

As a result, Riewoldt's fine has been raised from $1000 to $1500.

"The fine is still a substantial amount, but I feel like I'm definitely a really fair player," Riewoldt said after his hearing.

"I've sat on the Laws of the Game Committee for two years and I feel like I play the game in the right ethos.

"Understandably, I'm really disappointed with how it has gone."

Riewoldt denied that his actions were 'unacceptable', saying he was attempting to prevent Fritsch from distributing the ball until the moment he saw the umpire pay a free kick.

The AFL's legal counsel, Jeff Gleeson QC, said the action of Riewoldt pushing the arm of an immobilised Fritsch backwards should be deemed as "unsportsmanlike" conduct.

However, Richmond argued that the lack of a reaction from Fritsch or any of his Melbourne teammates proved crucial in determining the minor nature of the offense.

The Tribunal then deliberated for 14 minutes, before reaching its guilty verdict.

Despite its unsuccessful appeal at the Tribunal, Richmond will not be sanctioned a further $10,000 from the AFL due to only attempting to challenge a financial penalty.

Slow news day for Barrett if this is the only thing at Richmond he can complain about.

IF ... there's been a bigger waste of time and money in 2019 than Jack Riewoldt taking his Match Review Officer's chicken-wing fine to the Tribunal ...

THEN ... we can't recall it.

Don’t expect to see Jack Riewoldt any time soon with the reigning Coleman Medallist telling the Balls and Bumpers podcast that his return date has been pushed back.

“(It is) unfortunate. You go to a surgeon or the doctor and they say you are probably going to be right in 6-8 weeks,” Riewoldt said.

“But with something like this there are so many elements of risk or re-injuring it if you don’t get the right strength back into your knees and quads, which are the most important thing with a knee injury.

“People waste away and lose calf and quad function. We will take a pretty precautionary approach to it. I don’t think I will play straight after the bye.”

Hardwick provided an update on Jack Riewoldt’s recovery, saying the club aimed for a post-bye return but have since pushed that back.

“It wasn’t responding probably as quickly as Jack would like and for our guys it was a little bit the same but he’s not too far behind,” Hardwick said.

“It was a big aim for us to get him back after the bye, that’s probably not as likely now but it won’t be too much longer thereafter.”

Hardwick said Jack Riewoldt would push for selection against Gold Coast next week, but the star full-forward completed solo drills at Punt Rd and seems more likely to return the next week against GWS.

Jack was interviewed on Ch 9 news (via Foxsports). He wants to play but he has to check a couple of things off first this week. He's not going to rush it though as the longer he gives the knee the stronger it will be.

His absence has given the rest of the side time to work with Lynch. Putting him back into the equation now is exactly like a new recruit.

I hope he plays better in his return game than the winner of “the recruit”
