Round 14 is the bye. So we give him an extra week and have him perfect for our run to the finals. :shh

High grade PCL injury. No surgery required, out for 6-8.
So not back until round 14  :-\. That means we'll go back to one tall surrounded by smalls. We're familiar with that set-up so that shouldn't be an issue but having to wait until the second half of the season for Jack to return makes it harder for us to tune and perfect a two tall forward set-up in time for the finals (if we make them).

Yup that’s the main issue I see apart from the obvious of missing an out and out gun of jacks level. Less time for jack and lynch to get used to playing with each other.

“high grade”?

what’s a high grade?

i have had a Grade 2 tear. Obviously i ain’t a professional footballer!

i think it’s a Level 1 tear as 2 months is fast!

Tom Lynch’s was a year, reconstruction he had?

Not so worried about which round Jack specifically returns but moreso us having to adjust to a two prong forward line later on in the season and getting the connection perfected between midfield and forwards in time for our run into the finals. Remember our mids have been use to seeing one tall and 5 smalls in front of them for the past 2 years.

Explain that Tom Browne....

This is the sort of reporting that should be get a “please explain” from the AFL.

If these reporters want the privilege of covering our great game, they should be just as accountable as our players, coaches and even umpires to a curtain extent.

You know Tom Browne is searching when he starts complementing Jack after Jack had a go at him.

Nick Riewoldt found the exchange between [Jack Riewoldt & Tom Browne] “pretty funny” but said players became frustrated when journos referred to their sources when reporting information as fact.

“The issue was he went with it before Jack knew whether he needed to have surgery or not. Jack hadn’t even had scans,” Nick Riewoldt told SEN radio.

“Where players get a little bit riled up is when you then come back, which Tom did, and say ‘I’ve got sources’. So what you’re saying to the player, essentially, is ‘I know you’ve got these people around you that you think you trust but they are my sources and they’re giving me the information but you’ve told them’.

“The issue with this one was Jack didn’t know what the state of play was.

“He got lucky, Tom. He had a guess and he guessed right, so good luck to him.

Riewoldt, however, said he wanted to see more banter between players and journalists.

“But I actually like it. There’s a good bit of accountability going on,” he said.

“We in the media try to keep the players accountable and it’s OK if the players fire back every now and then.”

Did anyone hear Kane Cornes on the Sunday Footy Show calling Jack petulant for having a go at Tom Browne?

In this particular incident there is no possible way Tom got his info from “a source” as Jack hadn’t even had the scan yet.

If Tom wasn’t guessing than his source was.

FO Kane Cornes you try hard journo.
