Tom Browne just said Jack will have scans in the morning. The worst fears is obviously a break. There will be questions on Dimma as a result for using Jack in the ruck. You don't use a ferrari to plough a field.

Except he injured his wrist flying for a mark in the forward pocket.....

Correct

But..... why then send him intp the ruck When you know he's copped a knock, they've taped it and he's favouring it?

 :-\

Don’t worry about sending him back into the ruck why would you send him back out there in the last 9 minutes after he was down in the rooms when the game was all but lost already

Because if you're fit enough to be on the field with a bad wrist flying for marks, you are fit enough to play in the ruck and try to get your hand on the onion.

Weird comments

Wrong!

You play him deep because you can't afford to have him on the bench all night!

He wasn't on the bench all night though, only when he'd injured himself.

End of the day you're either fit or you're not. They decided he was. Probably the wrong call given I reckon that wrist is cooked now.

Exactly - if he's not on the bench then you just play him deep forward because he's not 100%.

You can't take this fit or not attitude because you can't afford to bench him all night! He clearly was hindered!

If he's not fit he shouldn't be out there. If he's deep and not fit, he's stuffing useless.

Not on the same page here Andyy. Garthwaite didn't play tonight because he's not quite ready yet, maybe we should have played him deep...

For real, if Jack was cooked, keep him on the pine. If not, he has to play his role giving Nank a chop out. Simple as that

Scaphoid doc? What's that

It's 8 weeks if it's true what some are saying.

Then we can kiss the season goodbye

Tigers brace for more bad news after suspected injury to Jack Riewoldt

Daniel Cherny
The Age

Richmond are bracing for bad news in relation to three-time Coleman medallist Jack Riewoldt, fearing that he has broken the scaphoid bone in his wrist which could lead to an extended stint on the sidelines.

Riewoldt played out Thursday night’s loss to Collingwood after landing heavily in the second quarter having flown for a mark. Following the incident, the spearhead looked to be in clear discomfort, despite battling on bravely until the end of the match.

He was set to have scans on the injury, however it’s understood Richmond suspected a scaphoid injury which could leave Riewoldt sidelined for about two months.

The potential loss of their star forward would be a huge blow to the Tigers, who have already lost five-time All-Australian Alex Rance for the season with a knee injury.

Richmond have not played a game without at least one of Jack Riewoldt or Alex Rance in the side since round 9, 2009.

Oh great! Out for two months  :help.

Unless we do a Bulldogs 2016 and stay in finals contention despite the mounting injury toll before miraculously getting everyone including Rance back just before the finals then our season is stuffed already  :(.

Jack to miss a month with an undisplaced fracture. No surgery needed.
OER. Calling it as it is since 2004.

Have done this exact injury before. I’d say he’ll do well to only miss 4 weeks.
