While the commentators (BT and Darcy) were making a big deal about Rance's disposal (he had 4 clangers for the record), Alex all up had a disposal efficiency of 82% for his 34 possies (21k, 13h, 11 contested) which made him the 8th most efficient Tiger last night.

Have watched the replays twice
Problem with making bad errors in D50 hurts on the scoreboard

he had absolutely no support. Got caught out a few times against 2 or 3 only because he was busting his arse but his teamates weren't.
Newman is our captain. Newman is supposedly our best kick in the defensive half. Newman has been appalling both games this year. Has not lead at all Cotchin may as well become captain now.

Opposition sides have been playing through Newmans man for years, extremely unaccountable and is a poor defender, gets away with it like Bowden and co did for years

l dont need to watch the replay. His kick to a Collingwood player with a directed perfect executed 30m pass with 3 Richmond options just over the back has been burned into my mind. fatigued maybe l give him the benefit of the doubt

He has just run half the field and been involved in moving the ball the entire way... fatigue is a very valid reason for him missing the kick

By the length of the flemington straight Riewoldt with 33%
edawrds 65%
jackson 67
nahas 67
cotchin 69

the most damning thing for jackson and nahas is they only had 3/18 and 1/12 as contested

Could he be in a little trouble? Not trying to stir the pot but for the melee?

Absolutely not.

I'll say one thing about Rance.

I'd rather he make a mistake trying to do the right thing than him making a mistake doing the wrong thing.

Without him we would be raped and pillaged atm.

Punching above his weight and holding his own.

Yep he made a few kicking blooz but why focus on him. I thought BT's commentary was slightly dramatic to say the least. ::)

I'm not excusing his errors but his kicking has improved in the last 3 seasons.

Let's not lose focus on the real issues at selection with certain players.

Rance was excellent. Had no support. Newman (I haven't played finals yet) was pathetic & if he keeps this up he never will. :banghead

He also had a go about his kicking in the third on the Southern Stand wing.

It was late al (after midnight) and the TV was quite low due to the family sleeping.

I thought he was excellent.

I couldn't fit him in the votes but he was next in line IMHO. :thumbsup

Rance is a champion. Fast becoming my favorite player.
We would be stuffed without him.
