Major work to do on his tank & strength, but very encouraging start by this bloke yesterday - that left peg is a joy.
Play him every game.

Sonsie gets his first

Tigers fans have every reason to be bullish about Tyler Sonsie’s future. Sonsie showcased why many of Richmond’s passionate supporter base had been clamouring for the youngster to be given an opportunity in the senior side for weeks on end by backing up his impressive debut with another solid showing - which included his first career goal at a crucial juncture of the contest. The 19-year-old showed class beyond his years, gathering the ball around 40m from home before taking only a couple of steps and snapping through the only goal of the third term.

Sonsie's stats by the way:

11 disposals (6k, 5h, 6c, 6u, 63.6% eff.)
2 marks
1 tackle
3 clearances
1 inside 50
2 intercepts
158 metres gained
2 score involvements
1 goal
67% time on ground

That goal was a little Dustyish  :shh
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Thought the time he was on he was good. WP is right he spend his fair share of time on the bench. So good to have a good ball user.

Should have played twice as long as Edwards did. Same with Cumberland spent way to long on bench for someone who has been our best forward for a month.
Go Tigers!

Sonz is going to be a special footballer once he gets another preseason or two in him.

The extraction out of the center bounce and delivery inside 50 in the 1st 2nd or 3rd quarter (can't remember when--too much gin) was electric.

A-Grade!

Yeah it's that lateral step he does. Makes my hairs stand up!

This kid just needs a bigger tank. Will be ever better next year barring any 2nd year blues

Gunna say it again so good to have such a good decision maker and ball user coming thru.
Not sure why people talk about his tank so much it his size more than anything that is stopping him atm.Still another pretty steady game from the kid.

15 touches in the first half, 5 in the second.

Looked tired to me.

Needs a bigger tank like you'd expect of any first year mid.
