I think him and the other recruits are still trying to come to terms with the pace of the game. He also missed a few goals, but I hope he keeps trying to kick those 60 m goals. He has the skills to pull it off. How good was that 60 m pass to Jack?

Not concerned with the long shots at goal, some only missed by afew inches, it was some of his field kicking around the middle of the park and out to the wings which missed targets by a fair way.

In the four times i've seen him he has made some disposal errors that surprised me. For similar reasons that I'm not concerned by the missed long goals, at this stage I cut him a bit of slack with those errors. If he was still making them next year I would be concerned. I think it just takes new recruits a while to adjust to the pace of the game and therefore judge better when they have time to settle.

Nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are my ways higher than your ways,
And my thoughts than your thoughts."

Hardwick on Dusty in EOTT

"Dustin Martin was good again, winning another five or six clearances.  I think he’s eighth in the competition at the moment in the clearances’ category  :o, so he’s going really well from that point of view.  We’ve just got to make sure that he gets some more ball around the ground.  He’s probably struggling a bit outside the contest at the moment, but, in time, he’ll learn his patterns and where to run, and bolster this part of his game."

Last week against the Swans he got off a few long shots at goal. That tells me that he's working to the right spots and using his main weapon, the kick, a bit more.

You get that feeling that Martin is one of those types that may just want to make that bit more of a statement playing against 2 dudes who were picked up before him. You know just to prove a point, not so much to anyone else but maybe just himself. Hope he doesn't kill anyone  ;D

Sheeds not a Richmond person - hasnt been for a long time, his disappointment in not gettingt he job at RFC is probably enough motivation for him to do us damage. Anyway stuff him ... RFC supporters are wasting there time talking about that bloke!
