Mitch Morton is ten times the player that Edwards or Nahas aspire to be.  Everyone banging on about needing a goal kicking forward who isn't a stick thin midget.  Morton was pretty good before Hardwick took over.  As with Tuck, Raines and Schultz, Hardwick magically decided he didn't like them and they had to go.

The only consolation in this. Hardwick gave Sydney Morton for free and Morton won the grand final for them with two crucial goals. Hardwick's cost his best buddy Clarkson a flag.  Karma or Justice.  You decide.....

You do realise that Tuck only survived because Hardwick's came to the slow realisation that he would be jobless if he got rid of him?

And while we're all on the popular slamming the club bandwagon let's remember that West Coast couldn't get anything better out of Morton either.  I'm with MM, right place, right time and will revert to type soon enough.  His performance yesterday was nothing more than a cameo - bobbed up for a couple of important goals but was largely unsighted for most of the game - a passenger if you like.

He kicked 80 goals in 2 years. Would love to see Sydney get that out of him.  :shh

Kicked nearly 80 goals in Swans ressies before call up.  Would never have done that in Richmond's reserves.  They are non competitive.  Big difference in club culture.

41 Goals for us in 2009 from 21 games before Hardwick took over.  Schultz kicked 42 goals this year.  But Richmond is searching for forwards?????  Joke is on us.

Well done Mitch, you played your part and definitely contributed to the swans victory. You are a worthy winner of your premiership medal, no one can ever take that from you, nor invalidate your performance on the day, you earned every bit of it.

As for my fellow supporters on this forum I say this: Just allow somebody to have a win, let them feel good about themselves without anybody having to run them down, make less of them at any opportunity. Mitch Morton is a winner, he has one the ultimate prize in AFL football, it's the reason why ANY footballer plays this game. It doesn't matter HOW he got there, the only thing that matters is that he did it.

Luck doesn't just shine on anyone, luck usually shines on the one that's done the work.

RFC couldnt get the best out of Mitch
Swans play Finals most years because they have the ability and culture to develop reject players
Fact
Have a look at there list

RFC couldn't get the best out of Mitch and Sydney couldn't either for most of the year until McGlynn was injured.
Nice cameo but he'll revert to type soon enough. Right place right time.

NO idea
He killed it all year

No idea? Pfft.
He kicked those goals in a comp equivalent to Coburg reserves. Hardly anything to get carried away by.

u guys just cant accept that rfc stuffed up with mitch

You're correct because they didn't. Morton is still exactly the same beast.
Swans didn't play him all year. Why is that?

You realise he's still at the club which is not what you originally said.

LMAO comparing NEAFL goals to VFL goals. Now I've seen it all. Barbosa from Pirates of the Caribbean could kick 80 goals in the NEAFL with his peg leg.  ;D

Sure he kicked two goals, but what about his other kicks? Twice all he needed to do was at least kick it to the contest but instead he kicked it straight down the throat of a Hawks player by themselves. Was playing up field squidding it up then played deep forward so he didn't hurt them any more. That was his issue here and it'll be his there. To inconsistent in the role coaches want to play him and can only play deep forward.
Oh and I thought it was funny Kennedy's reaction when asked about Morton needing to earn their trust.
