Interesting to see who tiga takes, I've got my eye on 3 but can't split them . . . maybe he'll help me out  ;)

Brisbane Lions Compensation selection #24

SAM COLQUHOUN
DOB: 20/12/1994
Height: 180cm
Weight: 73kg
Club: Central District/South Australia

We are very pleased that Sam is still availiable at selection 24. We suspect other clubs couldn't be stuffed learning to spell his name correctly.  ;D
He is a genuine footballer with elite disposal, endurance and great leg speed. He aslo has a great attitude and is a genuinely nice kid.
We see Sam as a good utility prospect who can eventually be a part of our midfield rotation but initially we see his role as a wing/back flanker until he improves his ability to get his own ball.
He averaged 28 disposals for SA, was their MVP and made All Australian.

St Kilda selection #25

NATHAN HROVAT
DOB: 07/06/94
Height: 175cm
Weight: 76kg
Club: Northern Knights/Vic Metro

St Kilda are rubbing their greedy hands together seeing Nathan has slipped through to us at selection 25.  :cheers

Hrovat works hard, wins the contested football and uses it well consistently. I'd suspect that his height is why he has been overlooked with the prior 24 picks, but we believe that he is good enough and will make an impact at AFL level for a long period of time.

Averaged 25.2 disposals (10 contested) and 4.4 clearances in winning Vic Metro's Most Valuable Player and All Australian honours this year.

Can read more on Nathan on the AFL website. http://www.afl.com.au/news/newsarticle/tabid/208/newsid/150187/default.aspx

St Kilda selection #26

ADAM CARTER
DOB: 17/04/94
Height: 179cm
Weight: 75kg
Club: South Fremantle Football Club/WA

Tiga having stolen Colquhoun at selection 24 means we'll pick a player we can see filling the same role rebounding off half back in the future for us. We initially had another 2 players marked for selection 26, but believe they may slip to pick 41 and 44 so will gladly call out Adam Carter here.

Carter has the ability to play off half back, as well as impact in the midfield (similar to Brandon Ellis). Has shown through the champs he is capable of shutting down those irritating small forwards while providing strong rebound using his long accurate kick coming out of the back half. Has a good core strength so when he moves into the middle is difficult to tackle and is very good at winning his own ball. Is also very clean with his disposal under pressure.

Averaged 16 disposals at an impressive 78 per cent for WA at NAB AFL Under 18 level. Brother to Mitch Carter at Carlton.

With pick 28, GWS takes:

Spencer White (KPF)

A bit of a reach at this pick, however it's GWS's last pick in the National Draft.  Spencer, if he gets his head on straight, could be a star.  Has x-factor, and is a late season bolter in the draft rankings.

29. Hawthorn – Nathan Wright

Height: 183cm, Weight: 78kg, DOB: 16/02/94
Recruited from: Dandenong Stingrays

With Hawthorns defensive stocks sured up with the addition of Lake, and the forward line in good shape, we are looking to draft the best available midfielder with our first pick who can have an impact within our immediate premiership window, and Wright fits that mould. Wright is a line braking midfielder with excellent pace who can win his own ball, and has clean hands. Can play off half-back, but is perhaps more likely to play as a outside-winger who can at times rotate through the centre.

A perfect fit for the club, we see Nathan as a player who is ready made but also will be a 200 game player for the Hawks.

Nathan's parents also keep a large aviary at home, and we are keen to speak to Neville and Maude regarding pet memberships.

30. Port Adelaide - Nick Graham ...... ( Gippsland Power, Hgt: 182cm, Wgt: 76kg, DOB: 12/06/1994 )

Midsized midfielder/utility who won the Morrish medal this year as best player in the TAC Cup where he was a prolific ballwinner averaging 25 disposals. He can also push forward which will appeal to AFL recruiters who are looking for mids who are versatile. He's a good overhead mark for his size and the defensive side of his game (chasing/tackling/attack at the ball) has improved significantly this year where it is now something he is known for. Some quarters think his kicking can be a little inconsistent at times but when he's on you don't notice it. Should make a solid AFL player at the top level.

31. Port Adelaide - Jason Pongracic ..... ( Dandenong Stingrays, Hgt: 183cm, Wgt: 85kg, DOB: 21/04/1994 )

Strong-bodied inside midfielder/half-forward who kicked 16 goals from 11 games this year. Was initially hampered earlier in the season with a hip injury but was able to string a few games together in the second half of this year to play some consistent footy albeit moreso as a forward. Pongracic reads the play well, uses his strong body well to split packs and win the contested footy and he is a ferocious tackler which will very much please his eventual AFL coach. He is also a good overhead mark for his height. For an inside mid he also uses the ball well by hand and foot. The question marks on him are (i) being an earlier developer has he got away with being stronger than his junior peers and (ii) he's not overtly quick due to his body shape so will that be an issue at AFL level. Some compare him to a Brent Moloney or  Jason Porplyzia.

I rate Pongracic, was hoping he'd slip to 41 for the Sainters next pick. Just goes to show, we'll have some quality players still around (especially if a few clubs do left field choices) by the time our 2nd, 3rd and 4th picks come around  :gotigers

I do too. Great natural footballer who works hard. Good attitude and does all the 1% that are often missed by recruiters particularly because he does his best work in congestion. Would be very happy for the Tigers to pick him up with a later pick. :thumbsup
