He's like a walking parody of a ruckman. All the long-standing jokes about ruckmen come to life in one player. We cannot seriously head into next year with this dud as our first ruck option. He shouldn't even be on an AFL list....don't care how good his tapwork supposedly is...he effectively leaves us a man down around the ground for the other 99% of the game....

Doing the job he should be doing and doing it well. :thumbsup

What do you consider his job to be? i would of thought ruckman on today's game could get more than 8 possies in a game. I would of thought they could be a threat to drift forward and kick a goal. I would of thought they could take a few marks around the ground. I would of thought they could have more than 4 tackles in the last 3 weeks combined...

If you consider his job to be to jump up and touch the ball with his hand then sure he's doing that ok.

I would of thought you could try not be responsible for a high percentage of opposition goals due to stupidity

The problem is, when the last decent ruckman we had aside from Maric was bloody Stafford (10-12 years ago now?) you get used to sub par ruck performances.

Thus guy Hampson is a donkey and not even fit to polish the boots of the likes of Troy Simmonds

That fresh air handball was an Auskick level skill error

Lmao

At least he has a crack
Some of his tap outs were superb last night

The one where he tapped it directly towards Essendons goals just to make the resulting goal they kicked that bit easier? He's dumb. Sure he gets his hands to it but he doesn't actually know what he's doing.

His complete misjudge of the ball when he ran and jumped underneath it and turned around and got the high tackle was the highlight for me, with the rugby throw a close second
