Stephenson would not have done any better.

At least Hampson made a spoil in the last quarter.

We always knew he'd give us nothing but a tap. At least he's doing that until we get Maric back.

Pity we didn't know Griff would be half decent as a ruck backup. Should have elevated Miles instead and used Hampson/Vickery/Griffiths in the ruck.

You really believe that? Seriously mate open your eyes

He does nothing completely useless. Taps at the back straight to open space for their players run on

Worst trade since J McMahon

Ben Nason was a better footballer than this bloke

Don't need him provides nothing and one of the reasons we sit 2/5

Currently a member of the Roupies, and employed by the great man Roup.

Play Vicks in the ruck and Griff as second ruck.

Was wondering that myself, if we'd get away with that until Maric returns.
It's that simple Spud
"I discussed (it) with my three daughters, my wife and my 82-year-old mum, because it has really affected me … If those comments … were made about one of my daughters, it would make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I would not have liked it at all.”

You actually think Stephenson would have been superior to Hampson tonight? You must be blind as a bat. He's just as useless around the ground as Hampson.

Big O would have struggled too but when the ball hits the deck he battles on and fights for his teammates. Hampson seemed to think the job was done after winning/losing a tap.

I actually thought he was pretty good today. Think he did a lot of good work at the contest and saw him win it from the deck and get it out to our smalls 4-5 times in the second half. Still a bit of a spud tbh but no complaints today

Would be nice he could take a mark, just one mark a game.

Ruck work isn't the issue

Stats have him for a mark today, though I cannot recall it.

He must have grabbed it out of the ruck and the stats guy made an error.

I imagine he played on immediately due to being completely unfamiliar with the mark/free kick system.

Play Vicks in the ruck and Griff as second ruck.
lets do what has already failed as poor as hampson has been id have him in the ruck over vickery every day of the week. talk about out of the frying pan into the fire.

what stats defines a good ruckman.
h/o its the one area hampson has been very good.
tkls  hes just not laying em.
1% just too few this stat includes spoils blocks shepherds etc tap ons .
c/mks geez he isnt marking the ball let alone taking contested marks.
disposals hes hardly touching it.
this has been the case all yr,  yeah he gives a good contest in the ruck but thats it full stop.  time to send him back to the ressies to work on these things and bring in the big o he can do no worse and will compete at all times.

god help us when ivan comes back and we plonk hampson fwd most of the games. hoping he can take a grab or two.its scary to think this is what we got him for.
