Yeah I'm just wondering about all these players that should have been included, who are they?

Morris and Lloyd. Making same mistakes year in year out.

Kidding ourselves. Hate negative people but bloody hell. Lennon surely plays.

Don't mind Rioli, yeah he's off the pace but I don't mind blooding untried talent. If Morris and Lloyd are genuinely in best 22 we have again failed in the off season.

Can tell Lloyd is probably 33% fitter than Lennon as this stage
No surprise to see Lloyd get a game and being rewarded for a hard pre season
Has earned his spot

Morris adds hardness against a a young Carlton side, or so I assume is the rational

Lloyd can kick goals.

I pleased with rioli.

it may surprise some, but comparing the ages of the 22 that's named for the two sides, we are actually about 1 year younger on average compared with carlton (24.4 vs 25.6)

But apparently  we are 50% "below afl standard"

How are the Menadue c Ellis Mcintosh supposed to improve, or get the the standard unless they play #claw

not using it as an excuse what so ever...quite the contrary....
i just find it funny it's reported everywhere in the media that carlton is fielding a young and inexperienced side....
sad for them when they get pumped

The general consensus seems to be that a number of other players should be in this round 1 side. In addition to our injury situation it does show that we are developing more competition for spots which can only be a good thing moving forward.

Hardwick should have little excuse to keep under performers in the side. Alternatively should some of the younger brigade perform above expectations then with players still to return after injury we should become a much stronger unit overall.
