I am just not convinced on Schache.

Doesn't look like any other club is very interested. There has to be a reason.

Would rather go to the draft and try and snare a KPF from there. We don't need a superstar, just a footy smart kid who is athletic enough to make a contest and who we can develop over the longer term.

I'd do that deal for sure.

It's a weak draft and Shache has big upside. I reckon he will emerge with our #insaneconnection.

I's want a pick coming back the other way

Pick 20 would be nice  ;D

what would people think about cutting Essendons lunch and throwing pick 15 at Stringer?

Same as I thought when Footscray first put him up....get him...bloke's a bonafide matchwinner....him & Martin would wreak havoc for years to come...

...two late first rounders in a pee week draft and a father-son we'd probably have a better chance of getting if we didn't have those two picks.....ffs use the stuffers to get Stringer & Kennedy....or Schache of you like....( I don't but whatever)...

It seems as though we will be passengers this year lie a few other clubs out there.

I would cut Effendon's lunch just purely for the fun of it!  Provided Stringer's issues are only above the shoulders (& fixable), I'd go for it!     :santa

I reckon there's a view amongst the average punter that if you don't bring in 2-3 A graders for mid grade picks you've had a failed/quiet trade period. Just reckon a lot of clubs position for certain years and stack themselves for that. Look at our 15. Dismal, got 1 trade done which was a bust. But we positioned beautifully for '16 and it ended up winning us a flag (amongst other things).

Perhaps we're setting up for a big '18 trade period??

We don't really NEED anything from this trade period. Would be nice if we can snag Schache for unders but other than that, what did we need to do?

I'm not sure how but I wonder if salary cap issues prevent our ability to pay these blokes which is the real reason why we are going to draft kids
