Salaries will inevitably rise. Getting him for 1 mill a year for six would be a fantastic deal.

Every time we win and he plays well , this thread reappears.
Just for some equality, when he had down weeks, there doesn't seem to be any articles dropping his price.

Could only wish salaries worked like that for non sportsmans in the real world.

If he continues in this vein he'll become one of Richmonds best ever players. He is just awesome. Speed, enormous strength, amazing foot skills.

Just give him $1.2 million for 6 years and get him to sign. Just do it.
OER. Calling it as it is since 2004.

Martin is the match winner you wait your whole life to see. He proved it against Port on the weekend.

Just pay him and sign him for the next 10 years. He can "do a Lethal" and play the last 4 years as a forward and will kick 40+ goals per season

Jake King arrest will cast a cloud over Dustin Martin deals

The arrests yesterday of former Richmond players Jake King and Ty Vickery is having an immediate effect on one of the biggest stories in football – Dustin Martin’s playing future.

King in particular is good friends with Martin, and both share a worrying connection to outlaw motorcycle gangs.

Add to that Martin’s father Shane, who has been banned entry into the country, and warning bells are ringing loud in recruiting departments around the land.

What may have been a bit of marketable colour in Dusty’s private life has suddenly become a very real, culture-destroying concern that already has clubs reassessing trade strategies.

Not surprisingly no-one’s going on record, but the suggestion was made on Wednesday night that Nat Fyfe’s phone is going to be running hot as clubs turn to a “trouble-free superstar option”.

I suppose it comes down to whether you want a player loved by his teammates or loved by the police.

Personally I’m not so sure the choice is clear.

What a rubbish, and frankly disgusting piece of gutter journalism.

I guess one crime begets a footballer who we are told looks like a crim.

I'm stuffing appalled.
