what are we likely to do?

 :)
Good question now after the draft.

Do we go with a recycled player like a Thorp or a kid who just missed out and get in early on the rookie draft?

Kid unless another Cousins falls in our lap.   :o

Temel not being picked up speaks volumes to me.

I've gone right off Thorpe. Grimes or Hartigan, go another young untried key defender.

There's only 6 clubs participating in the PSD this year....

PRE-SEASON DRAFT, December 15

1. Melbourne: J. Macdonald

2. Richmond: will take a youngster with the second pick in the draft after passing at pick 78 on Thursday. The Tigers are expected to invite potential draftees to a rookie camp where they can assess their talent.

3. Fremantle: A. McPhee

4. Sydney: D. Bradshaw

5. West Coast:  ?

6. Essendon: ?

Other clubs can delist players by December 2 to create room for another pre-season pick

Supposedly Essendon (because of McPhee) and West Coast have picks as well.

Ah you're right about Essendon jezza. Cheers  :cheers. The AFL site had McPhee still on the Bombers list. I'll edit my above post. The Eagles have a full senior list according to the AFL site.

Can't find the post where I read it but supposedly Westcoast has a player who has retired that they have not taken off their list yet. Suppose we will know by list lodgement 3.

RROFO, you and jezza are correct  :thumbsup. My OER secretary  ;D just reminded me via PM that Stenglein is still on the Eagles' list even though he has announced his retirement. They'll officially delist him on Dec 2. So there will be 6 clubs in the PSD.

That secretary is probably underworked and overpaid.

Would tend to agree the other senior management in OER certainly don't have access to any darn secretary  :help  ;D

Richmond held a rookie search session which contained about 22 undrafted youngsters of which the best will be drafted with selection #2 in the PSD. Straight from the recruitment managers mouth (Francis Jackson). I dunno what kids that involved though. I would imagine Dare, Grimes, Panos, Hartigan and co.

http://www.bigfooty.com/forum/showpost.php?p=16376762&postcount=5

If it was anything like previous years they would have narrowed that 22 down to a handful of kids (RT on BF says around 10) to train with us leading up to the PSD and rookie draft.

That secretary is probably underworked and overpaid.
