Since we have such a superstar can we give Carlton another draft pick as I feel we ripped them off

You obviously didn't see his goal and his marking as you probably weren't there

Saw his goal. Saw plenty of goals. It was ok but there were plenty better. FACT.

We are, however, talking about his tap work. Try to keep up.

For him that was a sublime piece of skill to pull the ball in from the boundary throw in and then to have awareness of where the goals were and swivel around and score. Probably the best piece of individual skill i have seen him display since he has been at the club. Is definitely growing in confidence and if he can get his body right then he is not the worst ruckman going around, just needs some help from time to time and we have to except he will have the odd brain explosion but that's just the player he is.

True. If he continues in this vein he is probably better than Zac Clarke....
Still think Longer is a better prospect though, as long as recurrent concussions aren't an issue.

And then he literally taps it down the throat of the opposition .......
Even the sun will shine on a black dogs arse once every so often.
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

I personally think a ruckman is kidding himself if he's not clunking crucial marks in defense or creating an option up forward marking the footy. Around the ground also must be more imposing. If your not breaking double digit possessions as a minimum your just not doing enough IMO.
I think taps are secondary to this as good midfields can always nullify supposed "taps to advantage" not saying taps aren't important just not as important as clunking marks or creating options around the ground especially in defense or up forward.

I look at the General Mark Lee or Peter Moore as a guide to what is expected as a consistently useful Ruckman & contributer to the team.
The club that keeps giving.
