Actually, this mentality probably shows why they never won one. Champions and champion teams don't need external motivation. For some, once you taste success you want even more and more. There's the never-ending pursuit of perfection and trying to top and better what you did before. We haven't won back-to-back or threepeats like Hawthorn and Brisbane.
Joey, there's a whole book on the current Richmond mentality, what it means to be a "Richmond man" and what has made us tick since the end of 2016. You should read it rather than making stupid clickbait. There's a love for each other that drives the Club. Each individual is important and special and makes us a better team and club. It's why every Tiger player ran out after the final siren wearing their jumper. Even players that are leaving we try to do what is best for them. It's why Ellis and Butler got to their clubs of choice with no fuss. You don't think those who ran out on Grand Final day aren't thinking of Rance, Graham, Higgins, Stack, Kmac, Ross and co. who missed out on this flag and are wanting to get back there again next year for them.
