Lynchy turns 32 next month.
I have long been in the keep him camp. I still am. My concern is the injuries and i ask myself how many more years will we have him for? and is he just one injury away from the end.
If the answer is one year to q1 and one injury is the answer to q2 then you have to at least ask is it worth our while looking at a trade if he was up for it. Only if he wanted it. A circumstance of say he is going to a club that will give him a shot at a flag one last hurrah if you like.
Keep Lynch as we need the structure he brings ( it has been sadly missed )
We also need to get him to 100 games. (11 more)
Sadly that structure he brings may only be for one year.
With his age and injuries we do need to find and get games into two quality key forwards.
Might mean we are a bit tall fwd but it needs to be done imo.
If Cumberland Bauer and Fawcett were any good they would be a compelling front structure…..
IF IF IF. If this and if that freakin ifs everywhere.
We might not be so iffy if we actually took some talls earlier in the nd.
What are the odds of a pick after pick 40, or rookie psd or msd drafts.
We could have 8 kpfs on the list taken there and only find if we get lucky two okay types.
Cumberland is 24 and has not done anywhere near enough be retained.
Bauer well he shows some good attributes but like so many draftees we have drafted he hardly touches the ball. It seems that is also the case when in the vfl.
Fawcett who the hell knows what was he pick 43 or something been injured but how many picks in the 40"s make it.
Our list of key/Tall forwards lets not put our head in the sand about where we have taken them.
Lynch 32 pick 11
Lefau 26 ssp rookie
Kossie 24 pick 52
Ryan 24 pick 40 ruck/fwd
Bauer 22 msd rookie.
Gray 21 msd rookie
Fawcett 19 pick 43
